Only run over one day, the Challenge is a good mix of regularities, jogularities and tests. Puff, Suzanne and I decided to do this event, using it as a warm up before the end of season event – for us – the HERO Rally of the Tests.

There were over 103 entrants in this well-subscribed event, as it combined regulars with learners on a Hero Training Day. Covering some 130 miles, the rally included 7 regularities and 7 tests – quite intensive for a one day rally, but it did give the learners a real taste of what future events would be like.

We were thrilled with 13^th overall and 3^rd in class, as our class consists of those fast Escorts, (and we were third behind two of them) and an Alfa Romeo, a Porsche 914, an Avenger GLS and a Morris 1800.
